Greatman Takit is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper recognised for combining gospel music with Afropop and hip-hop influences. His music presents Christian beliefs through modern rhythms and expressive songwriting, connecting gospel themes with sounds familiar to younger audiences in Nigeria and beyond.

The title Story evokes the idea of personal experience and testimony, concepts often associated with gospel music. Within Greatman Takit’s catalogue, the song contributes to a body of work shaped by Christian perspectives and the use of contemporary musical styles to communicate faith.

The track appears on Energy (Afropop Gospel Vol. 1), a seven-song project that also includes “Peteru (Peter),” “Energy,” “My Daddy,” “Jowo,” “Bulie” featuring Limoblaze, and “Super Lover.” The collection demonstrates Greatman Takit’s approach to combining gospel messages with modern African musical influences.

Greatman Takit’s broader musical style draws from several genres, allowing him to approach Christian songwriting through rhythmic and melodic arrangements beyond traditional worship formats. His recordings contribute to Nigeria’s expanding Afrogospel scene, where artists blend contemporary popular music with messages rooted in Christian belief.
