Lil Kesh – Anini (Thief)

Anini (Thief) is a single by Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter Lil Kesh, whose real name is Keshinro Ololade. The song was released on February 27, 2026, as a standalone single. It runs for 3:09 and was released through YAGI Records and Ziiki Media.

In Anini (Thief), Lil Kesh uses the name Anini as a metaphor for a woman who has captured his heart. The title references Lawrence Anini, a notorious Nigerian robber from the 1980s, while the song uses the association figuratively to describe romantic attraction, uncertainty, and emotional attachment.

The production combines rhythmic percussion, layered chords, and melodic vocals, giving Anini (Thief) a lively Afrobeats-oriented sound. The recording also reflects Lil Kesh‘s ability to move between rap and melodic singing, presenting a softer romantic approach while maintaining the energetic delivery associated with his music.

Lil Kesh rose to prominence after the release of “Shoki” in 2014, which became one of the songs that established his name within Nigeria’s popular music scene. His career has included work with YBNL Nation and the development of his own YAGI imprint, alongside various singles and collaborations.

For Anini (Thief), songwriting credits include Keshinro Ololade and Opeyemi Michael Edebie. Production credits list YGP and Keshinro Ololade, while Boberry handled engineering. The song was issued as a one-track single and became part of Lil Kesh‘s recorded output in 2026.

With its combination of romantic storytelling, Nigerian references, melodic vocals, and upbeat production, Anini (Thief) adds another release to Lil Kesh‘s catalogue. Listeners looking to hear the 2026 single can stream it on supported music platforms or download Anini (Thief) to enjoy the song.
